Los Angeles Asphalt Paving Company is a licensed asphalt paving contractor serving Los Angeles with driveway paving, parking lot installation, and asphalt repair. We have been working throughout the city since 2015, and we understand what LA properties actually need - from hillside driveways in the Hollywood Hills to flat-lot ranch homes across the Valley.

Los Angeles properties face a tough combination of expanding clay soils and intense sun that breaks down asphalt faster than in most U.S. cities. Learn more about our asphalt paving process, including proper base preparation that keeps your surface stable through LA's wet-dry cycles.
From narrow hillside driveways in Silver Lake and Echo Park to wide flat-lot driveways in Van Nuys and Reseda, we handle the full range of residential driveway work across Los Angeles. We assess the base condition first so your new driveway does not fail prematurely under LA's soil movement.
Los Angeles has miles of commercial strips along Ventura Boulevard, Pico Boulevard, and Vermont Avenue, all lined with parking lots that take a beating from heavy traffic and relentless sun. We pave and repave commercial lots for businesses and property managers throughout the city.
Cracks and potholes are common on LA driveways and lots because the clay soils beneath much of the basin shift with every wet season. We cut clean edges, address the base where needed, and patch the surface so the repair holds - not just for one season.
Los Angeles gets over 280 sunny days a year, and that UV exposure oxidizes asphalt binder faster than in cooler climates. Regular sealcoating every two to four years is the single most effective way to protect your driveway or lot from sun-driven aging and extend its usable life.
Potholes in Los Angeles often trace back to water that entered cracks during the winter rainy season and softened the base. We remove the failed material, stabilize the base, and fill the area with compacted asphalt so the repair does not reopen with the next storm.
Los Angeles does not have freeze-thaw cycles, but the city has its own set of conditions that are just as hard on asphalt. The clay-heavy soils across much of the LA basin expand when wet and shrink when dry, pushing against driveways and parking lots from below. Add in more than 280 sunny days a year that bake the asphalt binder out of the surface, and you have a city where even well-installed pavement needs regular attention to last. Seasonal rain - concentrated from November through March - finds its way into any unsealed crack and softens the base, which turns small problems into large ones faster than most property owners expect.
The city also has a wide range of property types that each come with different paving challenges. Hillside lots in the Hollywood Hills, Silver Lake, and Bel Air require drainage planning and careful grading to keep water from running toward the foundation. Post-war ranch homes across the San Fernando Valley - Van Nuys, Reseda, Canoga Park - have concrete and asphalt flatwork that is now 60 to 80 years old and often past due for full replacement. Commercial strips along Ventura Boulevard and Sepulveda Boulevard need parking lots that can handle daily traffic from dozens of vehicles. A contractor who only knows one type of job is not equipped to serve all of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Asphalt Paving Company has been working throughout Los Angeles since 2015, pulling permits from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works and the city's own public works office on projects that touch the public right-of-way. We know which neighborhoods have the deepest clay soil problems, which hillside corridors need extra drainage planning, and how to schedule work around the afternoon heat that peaks in the Valley during summer.
Los Angeles covers a huge amount of ground, and we work across all of it - from properties near Griffith Park on the east side to Venice Beach on the west, and from neighborhoods close to City Hall out to the far reaches of the San Fernando Valley. We understand what homes and commercial properties in each part of the city actually look like - the bungalows and craftsman houses near Downtown, the ranch homes filling the Valley, and the mid-century apartment buildings and strip malls that line major corridors everywhere.
We also serve neighboring cities on either side of Los Angeles. If your property is in West Hollywood, the densely built enclave surrounded by LA, we cover that city as well. And for properties in Culver City, which sits just south of the Westside, our crew operates there regularly too.
Call or submit a contact form and we will get back to you within 1 business day to schedule a site visit. You do not need to prepare anything - just let us know the property address and what you are seeing.
We visit the property, measure the area, and check the base condition. We give you a written estimate that breaks out what is included - removal, base work, paving thickness, and any permit costs. No pressure, no surprises.
We handle any required permits, then remove the old surface, grade and compact the base, and lay the new asphalt. Most residential driveways are completed in one to two days. You do not need to be present during the work.
Stay off the new surface for 24 to 48 hours while it cures. We do a final walkthrough with you, answer any questions, and let you know when to schedule your first sealcoat - typically after 90 days.
We serve all of Los Angeles - from the Valley to the Westside to South LA. Call us or fill out the form and we will get back to you within 1 business day.
(213) 338-1277Los Angeles is one of the largest cities in the United States, home to well over 3 million people across dozens of distinct neighborhoods - from dense urban blocks near Downtown and Koreatown to hillside streets in Silver Lake, Mount Washington, and Bel Air, to the wide flat streets of the San Fernando Valley. The city's housing stock spans more than a century of construction, with craftsman bungalows and post-war ranch homes making up much of the residential base in neighborhoods like Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Van Nuys, and Canoga Park. Newer condos, mixed-use buildings, and apartment complexes fill in along major commercial corridors on Wilshire, Sunset, and Ventura Boulevards. You can read more about the city on the City of Los Angeles official website.
The city is defined by its freeway system - the I-5, I-10, I-405, US-101, and SR-110 - as well as surface streets like Sepulveda Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard that carry heavy local traffic. Los Angeles is also bordered by other cities we serve regularly. To the west, just off the main LA grid, sits Santa Monica, where coastal conditions and dense residential streets make driveway and parking lot work its own challenge. To the north of the Westside, fully enclosed by LA, lies West Hollywood, a compact, high-density city where most of the housing stock is multi-family and commercial paving needs are significant.
